Happy 2017!

Hello everyone! First and foremost we would like to wish you all a happy 2017. Secondly, we would like to apologize for all of our inactivity. Believe it or not, 4 of our members started high school this year. We have all been very busy with schoolwork, sports, and other extracurricular activities. This has made it harder for us to work on our creatures. However, we still have a passion for knitting and crocheting, and we are going to try to step it up next year. Hopefully, you'll be seeing many more blog posts from us!
We would like to conclude that at the end of 2016 we have made 151 total creatures and donated 123 of them. These are numbers that we are very proud of and we hope to make them bigger throughout next year. Every creature made is another child helped.
Once again happy new year and the best of luck to you in 2017!

Vaarwel

We have recently made another creature donation! Nine of our adorable, handmade animals have gone to children without a home in our area. We hope to keep up with the donations, and the supply of creatures.

Creature Feature!

First off, we at Creatures for Care would like to apologize for the fact that we have not posted on the blog since January. We have had very busy schedules, and trying to find time to post on the blog was hard. But we are working on it, and hopefully you will see more blog posts in the future!
Today we are featuring the lion. He loves to sunbathe out on the rocks of the Savannah, and hide in the tall grasses as he stalks his pray.

Interviewer (I): Why do you think it is important to give to people who have less than you?

Lion (L): It is important to realize that there are others who are less fortunate than us, who may just need a smile to brighten up their day, or something more. No matter what they need, if you find yourself in the position to help them, what's stopping you from making their life a little easier?

I: What is the difference between a Creature for Care and any other stuffed animal you could buy?

L: A Creature for Care was made with love and care. The girls who took the time to make us carefully crocheted or knitted every single stitch, and they make sure that every creature is well done so they will not fall apart, and they give each creature character so they can truly make a child happy. That is something you won't find in any other stuffed animal.

I: Lastly, every handmade creature cannot be as perfect as a factory-made stuffed animal. Do you think this is a good quality, or a bad quality?

L: Having animals with imperfections teaches kids to love who they are, despite their flaws. They might see a creature with a slightly lopsided face, or one arm higher than the other, and love the animal anyway, teaching them to love themselves no matter what.

I: Thank you for your time today, and I hope you get donated soon!

L: Me, too!

Happy New Year!

With so much happening, this New Year's post is a little delayed. What a great year 2015 has been! At the end of this year, we have made a total amount of 140 creatures, and donated a total of 115 creatures. In 2015 alone, we made 50 animals and donated 70 creatures. We are so proud of our accomplishments and are looking forward to creating and donating even more creatures in 2016!
